On Friday evening, I brought a few folks from Cooperstrasse 3 to a get-together at the park. These included an Iranian family, an Afghan family, and an Afghan man. I had had meaningful conversations with each of them earlier in week, and felt they were ready to go deeper. Because of relational and cultural dynamics in the camps, it is very hard to discreetly discuss Christ in depth and detail. Our outing to a neutral site provided a much better/safer environment for these families.
We played sports, had a “share your story” time, and then shared a meal together. It seemed like everyone had a great time.
